At their executive committee meeting on January 13th, the Queens County Republican Party unanimously endorsed Bayside attorney and civic leader Vince Tabone for the 26th Assembly District, encompassing the neighborhoods of Auburndale, Bayside, Bay Terrace, Douglaston, Whitestone and parts of Little Neck, Floral Park, Flushing, Glen Oaks and New Hyde Park, Queens.
Tabone, who volunteers as the party’s executive vice president, thanked the GOP’s executive committee for their backing.
“I am truly grateful for your encouragement and early support. It’s time to restore real, responsible and accountable representation for Northeast Queens in the Assembly. Volunteering in our community, one thing I keep hearing is that middle class New Yorkers are being nickeled and dimed by a government that is recklessly spending us deeper into debt. I will work tirelessly for fiscal responsibility and lower taxes to create jobs. And as a father raising my kids right here in Queens, I am committed to improving our schools and protecting our quality of life,” said Tabone.
Queens County Republican Chairman Phil Ragusa said, “I’m proud to endorse Vince Tabone for Assembly. The incumbent has failed to represent Queens’ middle class. She moved out of Queens to a Long Island mansion and has the worst attendance record in the Assembly. The Assemblymember only shows up to work 38% of the time, and when she does, votes to raise taxes and increase spending. Vince Tabone is committed to our community and will bring fiscal sanity to Albany.”

In this capacity he also served on a number of Mayoral and Borough President task-forces and represented EDC and City Hall at the Queens Chamber of Commerce and numerous other forums. Vince has the experience we need to revitalize our economy by investing in small businesses, creating good-paying jobs and providing real middle-class tax relief and economic opportunity.
Most recently, Vince served under both Republican and Democratic Governors as the General Counsel and an Assistant Special Deputy Superintendent at a New York State agency overseeing all litigation, corporate, and contracting matters for insolvent insurers, with billions in assets at stake.
